Persons who work in areas where there is a risk of falling and select fall protection PPE as the control measure, must always correctly wear and use a suitable safety harness.

All IKAR safety harnesses are compliant with the relevant standard EN361:2002, EN361:2002 & EN358:200 or EN361:2002 & EN1497:2007.

On IKAR safety harnesses with overhead rescue attachments, the harness is tested to EN1497:2007 and the attachment point has been tested to the requirements of EN361:2002. When used with a retractable fall arrester mounted onto a tripod for confined space work, the overhead attachment point is guaranteed to be suitable and appropriate for use.

IKAR Harnesses can be washed with mild soap suds and then rinsed with clear water. It is also possible to wash them in a washing machine at a maximum temperature of 40°C in mild detergent without fabric conditioner, in a water-permeable bag to protect the washing machine from the metal fittings. The spin cycle must be switched off. The harnesses are to then be dried in a well-ventilated, dark room, not directly above heat sources.
